1. The Golden Circle - Known for way too many amazing GOT filming sites

2. Blue Lagoon - Arguably best spa in Iceland if you need a day of rest. If you miss this one, you can also go to Myvatn in the North and still have a great spa experience.

3. Skogafoss Waterfall - Hike up to the top of the waterfall to get incredible views of the countryside.

4. Solheimasandur Plane Wreck - It’s a lengthy walk out to the plane, but totally worth it.

5. Reynisfjara Beach - Black sand beach from Rogue One for all of my fellow Star Wars nerds out there! And where the East Watch of the Night’s Watch from GOT was filmed.

6. Diamond beach - Try to go at sunset for a magical view.

7. Námafjall volcanic site - Beware the smell of sulfur…you have been warned.

Iceland is a gorgeous country and can be explored in a quick 4 day road trip. I took a full week to explore, relax and soak in all of the Icelandic culture I could, but you can easily see everything above in 4 days if you’re short on time. Iceland is not a country to be missed!
